Leo brings a wealth of experience to Davie United. His knowledge stems from a professional playing career in Uruguay with Danubio FC, CA Penarol and CA Rentistas, before moving on and working extensively in the men’s game at the semi-professional and collegiate levels. Leo is also a Soccer Journalist for El Sentinel and Journalist for ESPN Deportes. Leo holds a USSF “B” License. Vega is a Super Y League ODP Region Coach and Scout, Nova Southeastern University Men’s Soccer Assistant Coach, and has taken teams abroad to face international competition on many occasions As a Director of Coaching for Davie United, Coach Leo is responsible for setting the technical direction for the coaching staff. South Florida Borussia Soccer Academy participates in yearly competitions against first and second division teams in Europe (Switzerland, Germany, France, Spain, Austria, Poland, Rusia, Lithuania, Hungary, Italy, Czech Republic, Turkey, Denmark and Holland). Matthew Parry is currently the Director of Operations at Davie United Soccer Club and also our Assistant Director of Coaching, Girls Program.
An NSU alumnus, Parry had a stellar four-year career as a Shark. He helped guide the team to a 49-21-6 record during his career and was a co-captain for three seasons. Parry became the first NSU Men’s Soccer All-American when he was a Second Team selection following his junior campaign. He is tied for NSU’s all-time record with 28 career assists and finished his four year NSU career with 22 goals and 72 points.
In addition to his All-American status, Parry was a two-time All-Sunshine State Conference selection and was also named to the NSCAA/Adidas All-South Region Team following his sophomore (First Team), junior (First Team) and senior (Second Team) seasons. Parry was also named the NSU Men’s Soccer Most Valuable Player following his sophomore and senior seasons, and the NSU Male Athlete of the Year in 2003-04. Finally, Parry was inducted into the NSU Athletics Hall of Fame with the class of 2011.
Prior to his time at NSU, Parry’s playing career included stints as the Captain of Arsenal F.C schoolboys and Captain of Norwich City F.C’s Youth Team. He was also a Reserve team member and appeared in the first team squad on three occasions while at Norwich City F.C.
Born in Hitchin, England, Parry received his Bachelor’s degree in Sport and Wellness Studies from NSU in December of 2005 and his Masters degree in Business Administration in August 2009.

Widely considered the top Goalkeeper Trainer in Florida, Reggie is the Nova Southeastern University Sharks Goalkeeper coach.
Reggie has extensive experience at all levels of the game. He has played professionally both in the US and abroad. On home soil he has played in MLS with the Miami Fusion, as well as with the Charleston Battery, Ft. Lauderdale Strikers, and Miami Breakers of the USL. He was also a first round draft pick of the Dallas Sidekicks of the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL). Internationally, Pierre-Jerome was a member of the under-23 Haitian National team that participated in the 1991 Pan American Games and played in qualifying games with the Haitian National team for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics and the ’94 World Cup. He has also trained with the U.S. National team, Alianza Lima of the Peruvian first division and for Paris FC in France
Collegiately, he played at Coastal Carolina University where he was a three year starter. While at Coastal Carolina, he was selected Big South Conference Goalkeeper of the Year after helping the Chanticleers to a Top 20 national ranking in 1990. That season, he led the NCAA Division I South Region with a 0.87 goals against average. His coaching experience is varied and extensive. He has been the goalkeeper trainer for the Haitian Men’s National Team, and has also assisted the programs at Coastal Carolina, FIU, and Barry University.
Reggie works full time as the Leadership Coordinator for Broward County Schools, and is also on staff at Davie United, where he directs the Goalkeeping Development of the club. He holds a BS and Ed.D and NSCAA National Goalkeeping License. Reggie is married to his lovely wife Joan and has three children; daughter Milan and son’s Sebastian and Adrian.
